Maritime Survey Australia (MSA) surveyor James Nolan has recently been granted recognition by Maritime New Zealand to conduct surveys on Commercial Vessels in New Zealand.
This development will allow MSA to complete plan approval on New Zealand designed and built commercial vessels in order to assist local NZ counterparts who are not accredited to complete plan approval. In addition, it will also allow MSA to complete plan approval and initial surveys on vessels built in Australia which are to be operated in New Zealand.
Maritime Survey Australia have a strong track record providing maritime survey and consulting services to a variety of international clients. Not only does this registration enable MSA to grow its global presence, but it also allows MSA to offer a specialist service to builders, owners and operators of commercial vessels with shared business interests on both sides of the Tasman Sea.
MSA’s recognition is granted in accordance with the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 (TTMRA), whereby James Nolan’s accreditation as surveyor under an Australian jurisdiction is recognised within the following categories:
