Our Surveyors are accredited with AMSA in Australia and the certifying authority of the International Institute of Marine Surveyors.

Pre-purchase surveys help reduce the business and technical risks you face when buying a new or second-hand vessel. Independent surveys and reports of the current condition, class status and life history of a vessel provide vital information to help evaluate a proposed investment.

Our AMSA Accredited Surveyors have the responsibility of checking a vessel’s compliance with the:

National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV); and
National Standard for the Administration of Marine Safety (NSAMS); and
The Uniform Shipping Laws (USL) Code; and
Marine Orders 503 and Marine Order 507

Have a Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, or Class 4 vessel that is due for its survey in accordance with its survey certificate(s)? The survey of an existing vessel afloat, or out of water inspection, in accordance with the USL Code, NSCV or Class Society standards.

Pre-Purchase Marine Survey

A pre purchase boat inspection consists of a rapid examination afloat of all readily accessible areas to ascertain the vessel’s condition and is usually carried out in no more than one day on behalf of potential buyers, but it is also used by banks, insurance companies and P&I clubs
