Periodic Vessel Survey

The 24 metre catamaran Fantasea Spirit is part of the Fantasea Cruising fleet operating evening sunset-, special event- and whale watching cruises from Sydney Harbour. Maritime Survey Australia Surveyor, David Wise-Mann recently completed a periodic vessel survey on this beautifully maintained vessel.

Built to offer unequalled sightseeing experiences, the Fantasea Spirit boasts large panoramic style windows in her saloon to enhance spectacular viewing opportunities, and her a modern aft deck with outdoor undercover shelter and open top deck gives passengers the ideal location to view Sydney’s breathtaking views.  Licensed to carry up to 220 passengers and able to reach a service speed of 20 knots, she’s ideally suited to undertake a range of duties from harbour tours to corporate entertainment and wedding transfers.

Following major mechanical repairs and engine upgrades in 2016, she has since also been repainted in Fantasea Cruising’s red, white and gold colours, and recently received new seating and a general service of all equipment and facilities.

The owner will be informed of any deficiencies discovered during the survey of a vessel that requires repair, replacement or action and will be recorded on a survey activity report, a copy of which will be given the owner or owner’s representative at the time of the survey. We will remain impartial in all of our business dealings, and we will never conduct business in a manner which could place our business integrity or impartiality at risk or question.
