MSA surveyor, David Wise-Mann recently completed an annual survey on the Saltwater 1, a 10-metre sailing catamaran designed and built by Seawind Catamarans.

Designed and constructed to the highest standards, the Saltwater 1’s overall finish is exactly what you’d expect from a world-class luxury yacht. With three double cabins, private hot and cold shower, fully equipped galley, and a rear deck offering plenty of covered outdoor seating she offers an unforgettable sailing experience. She is licensed to carry up to 20 passengers and is available for day charter around Sydney Harbour.
Sparing no expense on workmanship, equipment and fitout, she has been beautifully maintained and is a testament to her owner. Her exterior is finished with Gelcoat, with a moulded-in non-slip surface on the deck area. Vinyl Ester resin laminate was used in the manufacture of the hull for the fibreglass laminate sitting between the Gelcoat and vessel’s foam core. Her fibreglass hardtop is fitted with fixed toughened glass side windows and forward opening toughened glass windows that open on gas struts. On the inside, she has an American Oak and carpeted interior throughout.
Dual engine controls at the starboard helm controls twin Yamaha 9.9hp engines, providing ample propulsion when she is not under sail.

The survey is carried out accurately interpreting standards and guidelines, and applying rules and/or regulatory requirements.
The owner will be informed of any deficiencies discovered during the survey of a vessel that requires repair, replacement or action and will be recorded on a survey activity report, a copy of which will be given the owner or owner's representative at the time of the survey. We will remain impartial in all of our business dealings, and we will never conduct business in a manner which could place our business integrity or impartiality at risk or question.
