Tom is a Naval Architect (BEng) and Marine Surveyor with 8 years of experience working in the marine and offshore energy/resource industries. He started his Naval Architect career working for an aluminium boat builder, and was actively involved in the design process from initial client consultation through to vessel handover.

Tom transferred into the energy and resource industry, where he specialised in various offshore/onshore field maintenance and inspection programs for ExxonMobil in the Gippsland Basin, Victoria. This led to working as a Naval Architect consultant with Intecsea, specialising in floating offshore systems, including the development of Risk Based Inspection programs in the Asset Integrity Solutions team.

Tom is now based in Cairns, Queensland, providing Naval Architect and Marine Surveying services for Maritime Survey Australia Tom is a member of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA).
