Maritime Survey Australia completed an AMSA Exemption 40 initial survey for an Edencraft 6.0 Offshore. Due the current COVID-19 restrictions, the client, a Tasmanian commercial fisherman was unable to travel to Victoria and relied on MSA to complete the surveys and commissioning tests, and to inspect the vessel prior to acceptance.
The 6.0 Offshore with its 22-degree hull and flared bow is known for its exceptional seaworthiness. Powered by two 150hp Mercury four-stroke outboard engines, she can reach a top speed of up to 40 knots. Along with her 2.4m beam and generous 6m² deck space, this highly versatile vessel is more than capable of handling the demands of Tasmania’s fishing waters.
Edencraft are located in Moolap Victoria. There standard models are the 6.0 Offshore, 233 Formula Classic and 233 Formula Platinum. For more information, please visit https://www.edencraft.com.au/
Building or buying a new vessel or changing class?
Contact Maritime Survey Australia today to discuss your project requirements.
An Initial Survey is the inspection of a vessel, generally for the first time, to assess and approve its design and construction against the requirements of the NSCV or other standards that apply under Marine Order 503 (Certificates of Survey National Law) 2013.
Our initial marine surveyors will liaise with the vessel builder and designer to check compliance against the relevant survey standards to minimise delays, or prevent any last-minute headaches, to ensure a vessel is able to comply as a Domestic Commercial Vessel.
