Maritime Survey Australia completed the Marshall Islands flag state inspection last week on the 88.5m Superyacht, Illusion Plus in Tarragona, Spain.
Illusion Plus was built in 2018 at the Pride Yachts yard in China. She is a steel Diesel Electric vessel powered by twin Rolls Royce generators and is equipped for 16 guests and 25 crew.
The purpose of the Flag State inspections, to be completed every year, is examining the vessels technical condition and fittings, checking the ships’ crews’ qualifications and certificates for their compliance with the Minimum Safe Manning Certificate and the STCW Convention.
The inspectors also reconfirmed the compliance of the vessel and their fittings with the requirements of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships ( MARPOL 73/78 as mended ), as well as the proper functioning of the International Safety Management system ( ISM ) and the observance of the ISPS code procedures.
Maritime Survey Australia is approved by following Maritime Administrations to carry out the flag inspections:
- Cook Islands
- Jamaica
- Marshall Islands (RMI) on behalf of UMS
